Noh, nooh, noooh…..Noso Time!

Good morning dear readers! Today is the letter N day, and to get us in the mood to be healthy, I decided to show you some lovely pictures of the Noso Trail at Usery Mountain Park in Phoenix, Arizona. Come along with me and let’s go on a virtual hike! šŸ˜€

And if we look to the east, we’ll see…
The Superstition Mountains!

Well, dear reader, are you tired yet? LOL

Bbbbbb Blevins!

B 2014

Today is brought to you by the letter B!

We’re going to take a hike on BlevinsĀ Trail, located in UseryĀ Mountain Regional Park.Ā Ā This is not the first time I’ve hiked this trail – in fact it’s a popular trail for me to hike!Ā  Usery Mountain Regional Park is about a 10 minuteĀ drive from my house, and it takes about 15 minutes total to get to the park, get to the trail, and start hiking!

I’m one of those odd people who always wonders how people name things.Ā  After having done a little research, I found out thatĀ the namesĀ “Usery”Ā and “Blevins” Ā haveĀ some interesting tidbits of history to them here in the state of Arizona.Ā  The most famous name associated with the area is that of King Usery.Ā  In 1891 he and Bill BlevinsĀ held up a stagecoach near Globe, a crime that earned them 2 silver bullion bars and 7 years in Yuma prison. So the park and nearby mountain are named after Usery, and one of the trails is named after Blevins.Ā  Now, if only I could find one of those silver bars!Ā  šŸ™‚

Hmmm….I wonder if there’s a pot of silver at the end of this trail!Ā  šŸ˜‰

Hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!
